South West Personnel (SWP) works closely with our valued clients to provide a safe working environment and aims to ensure workers return home from work in the same state as they arrived. SWP prioritises the health and safety of every worker through improved hazard awareness, eliminating or safely mitigating risk through process improvements and regular site visits, which allow us to remain current on emerging WHS issues and topics.
SWP commits to this process by verifying that all on-hire worker placements have the skills, qualifications, and experience level to perform their jobs safely. As part of our Quality Assured (ISO 9001:2015) registration process, candidates undertake a health and safety induction covering basic health, safety, and well-being exposures across our host worksites.
The SWP Work Health & Safety Management System sets down the fundamentals of safe work expectations. It is supported by our WHS Officer, who proactively endorses best practices in health, safety, and inclusivity within our diverse workforce.

SWP is a proud advocate of the WorkSafe WA | think safe. | work safe. | be safe. motto where we educate our workforce to report their observations of workplace hazards and incidents that can cause repeat serious safety events and in turn improve the management of psychosocial hazards to support mental health and wellbeing. No matter how minor an incident or concern, they MUST BE reported; remember, your action could save a life!

SWP is committed to educating our workforce on WHS risks to reduce the occurrence of injuries and improve injury management outcomes. Collaboration with relevant client contacts through site visits and consultation allows us better to understand client-safe working environments for our on-hire casual workers.
An essential part of continued education and safety focus is the SWP quarterly 'Safety in Focus' topic distributed to current on-hire workers via their weekly payslips. These safety topics are relevant across various industries and act as practical reminders to reduce risk and avoid incidents at work.
All parties play a part in ensuring that, as an on-hire worker, YOU STAY SAFE AT WORK. Speak up to take account of your health, safety, and well-being. Remember to communicate with SWP as your employer and discuss concerns with your assigned host employer. We can all make a difference in all employees' health, safety and well-being!
