Our Managing Director, Esi Garcia, has kindly donated, again, bags of grocery items to the Salvation Army Corp here in Bunbury.  Esi chooses to do this every year to help those in need.

This time of year can be a time of greater need and therefore the Salvation Army rely on community donations for distribution.  The Salvation Army do tremendous work in the community supporting those less fortunate.

The donation was dropped off yesterday and as always, the tireless workers and volunteers at the Salvation Army Corp were grateful for such a generous donation.

The 5K Foam Fest has 22 of some of the best and most exciting obstacles in the world including the world’s largest inflatable waterslide, slip and slides and mucky mud pits!  Combine this with 2.5 million cubic feet of foam, how could the SWP Team resist participating!  Raelein, Mark, Lena, Dannielle and Tracy headed off to the Swan Valley to be part of this fun and challenging event.

More importantly, the event focused on raising funds for Make-A Wish Australia where the SWP Team topped the event ladder with fundraising efforts totalling $774.88.

Last weekend, the South West Personnel team joined the volunteers at the Ludlow Tuart Forest Restoration Group (ludlowtuartforest.org.au) for the very first day of the 2022 planting season.

The planting takes place annually in an effort to protect and restore the historical and unique beauty of the Ludlow Tuart Forest. 

Community responsibility is important to South West Personnel so it was only fitting to continue our 30 year celebrations by giving back to the environment with a donation of 1,000 tuart seedlings.

Armed with our buckets of seedlings, measuring poles and spades we went to work planting amongst the tranquillity of the Ludlow State Forest in an effort to make a difference to protecting and restoring the largest remaining pure forest of Tuart trees in the world.

South West Personnel’s Managing Director, Esi Garcia led the way through the planting adventure and thanked the volunteers of the Restoration Group that work tirelessly towards reforestation for future generations, biodiversity, tourism, education and research.

A special thank you to Des, Evelyn and Bill for making us feel so welcome during our planting session – such a memorable experience and the morning tea scones were sensational.

We recognise and acknowledge Wardandi People as the traditional owners of the Tuart Forest National Park.

Well the staff at South West Personnel certainly enjoy getting behind great causes and raising money when they can.  It is even more fun when they can create interesting looking cupcakes and eat them as well!

Each year, more than 124,000 animals turn to the RSPCA looking for help.  Money raised goes towards fighting animal cruelty and assists in giving mistreated animals a second chance.
