South West Personnel are proud to partner with our client who holds prominent space within the residential housing market in Bunbury.

A permanent vacancy has become available, an opportunity for an experienced Estimator to assist the team to provide clients with a quality build with delivery of projects on time, safely and within budget.  This work requires a mature and professional approach to communication with an ability to plan and schedule works within timeframes that suit many stakeholders.  Experience preferred, however, should you hold a trade background within construction, be efficient with the use of complex Excel spreadsheeting and the ability to interpret construction plans we encourage you to also apply.

Typical Tasks, but not limited to:

• Providing detailed sales and cost estimates for building projects, including materials, labour and equipment requirements.
• Preparation of pre-start and site cost estimations.
• Ability to identify risks and opportunities from project specifications, plans, drawings and other construction relevant documentation.
• Effective collaboration with project managers, subcontractors and suppliers to gather accurate cost estimation data
• Develop and maintain cost databases to gather consistent and reliable quoting estimates
• Monitor and track building projects throughout construction to identify variances or issues in a timely manner
• Able to confidently provide regular updates and reporting to the management team.
• Flexibility to assist and provide support to a variety of senior staff, as required.

Skills & Experience:

• High level of competency in the use of Excel, Estimating Programs teamed with excellent IT skills.
• Experience in the preparation of sales, pre-start and site costing estimates.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time, prioritise and plan with the ability to follow through on outstanding tasks to successful completion.
• Strong communication skills to provide oral and written works including influential negotiation skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships.
• You will need to hold a valid C-Class driver's licence with own reliable transport.
