2024 Bunbury Women's Trathlon

A group of 6 SWP staff members recently bravely participated in the annual iconic Bunbury event, the Bunbury Women’s Triathlon. Thank you to the major sponsors being Bunbury Triathlon Club along with South32, City of Bunbury and Southern Ports. All of these local sponsors made the event possible with their generous donations, prizes and volunteering to bring the event to life.

Esi Garcia, our Managing Director sponsored the SWP team and we are pleased to report that the swim, cycle and run was a positive & rewarding experience to cross the finish line as a work team together! SWP was also grateful to win the ‘Group Prize’; a generous voucher supplied by The Backbeach Café Restaurant.

South West Refuge Inc

South West Refuge Inc plays such a pivotal role in our community providing 24 hour crisis accommodation, a Safe at Home program and Transitional housing for women and children escaping domestic or family violence in the South West of Western Australia.

Providing critical, practical support to help families rebuild their lives, South West Refuge Inc was an organisation that Esi Garcia, Managing Director of South West Personnel, along with the SWP staff, felt passionate about supporting.

Esi and staff donated a range of amenities and toys to assist women and children currently in crisis accommodation and assistance.

Salvation Army Christmas Donation 2023

Our Managing Director, Esi Garcia, has kindly donated, again, bags of grocery items to the Salvation Army Corp here in Bunbury. Esi chooses to do this every year to help those in need.

This time of year can be a time of greater need and therefore the Salvation Army rely on community donations for distribution. The Salvation Army do tremendous work in the community supporting those less fortunate.

The donation was dropped off yesterday and as always, the tireless workers and volunteers at the Salvation Army Corp were grateful for such a generous donation.

SOUTH WEST PERSONNEL BEACH VOLLEYBALL CORPORATE CUP - 2023

South West Personnel have proudly partnered with Bunbury Volleyball Association to sponsor and support the social beach volleyball corporate cup competition for 2023.

Beach Volleyball is a fantastic way to wind down on a Wednesday night with the social comp games being played at Bunbury’s Koombana Bay.

Congratulations to the runners up Albemarle Re-Serves and the winners Hit & Miss.

Well done to Bunbury Volleyball Association and ALL the players for the 2023 season.

5K Foam Fest 2023

The 5K Foam Fest has 22 of some of the best and most exciting obstacles in the world including the world’s largest inflatable waterslide, slip and slides and mucky mud pits! Combine this with 2.5 million cubic feet of foam, how could the SWP Team resist participating! Raelein, Mark, Lena, Dannielle and Tracy headed off to the Swan Valley to be part of this fun and challenging event.

More importantly, the event focused on raising funds for Make-A Wish Australia where the SWP Team topped the event ladder with fundraising efforts totalling $774.88.

Special thanks goes out to those that donated, we could not have done it without all of your support!!

Salvation Army 2022

Ludlow Tuart Forest Restoration Group Donation

Last weekend, the South West Personnel team joined the volunteers at the Ludlow Tuart Forest Restoration Group (ludlowtuartforest.org.au) for the very first day of the 2022 planting season.

The planting takes place annually in an effort to protect and restore the historical and unique beauty of the Ludlow Tuart Forest.

Community responsibility is important to South West Personnel so it was only fitting to continue our 30 year celebrations by giving back to the environment with a donation of 1,000 tuart seedlings.

Armed with our buckets of seedlings, measuring poles and spades we went to work planting amongst the tranquillity of the Ludlow State Forest in an effort to make a difference to protecting and restoring the largest remaining pure forest of Tuart trees in the world.

South West Personnel’s Managing Director, Esi Garcia led the way through the planting adventure and thanked the volunteers of the Restoration Group that work tirelessly towards reforestation for future generations, biodiversity, tourism, education and research.

A special thank you to Des, Evelyn and Bill for making us feel so welcome during our planting session – such a memorable experience and the morning tea scones were sensational.

We recognise and acknowledge Wardandi People as the traditional owners of the Tuart Forest National Park.

Celebrating 30 Years

In late 2021, South West Personnel celebrated 30 successful years in business.

South West Personnel was founded in 1991 by our Managing Director, Esi Garcia, with a clear vision and commitment to provide excellence in recruitment within the South West Region of Western Australia.

We have continued throughout the last 30 years to keep that vision and commitment alive by successfully establishing and maintaining positive relationships with our valued clients and workers.

Community responsibility is important to us and we have proudly partnered with the Ludlow Tuart Forest Restoration Group to purchase 1,000 Tuart seedlings to plant as part of the 2022 planting season. This pledge will allow the South West Personnel team to give back to the land by supporting, contributing and participating in forest restoration.

RSPCA Cupcake Day 2021

Well the staff at South West Personnel certainly enjoy getting behind great causes and raising money when they can. It is even more fun when they can create interesting looking cupcakes and eat them as well!

Each year, more than 124,000 animals turn to the RSPCA looking for help. Money raised goes towards fighting animal cruelty and assists in giving mistreated animals a second chance.

A big thank you to our Payroll Officer Dannielle Pope for organising this fundraising event.
