Outage Scheduler / Planner

Our client, a power generation facility based at Cockburn, Naval Base are seeking the services of two skilled and experienced Outage professionals who have had experience in the operation and maintenance of electricity generation plant and facilities; or other relevant industry experience:
Role 1: Outage Scheduler
Role 2: Outage Planner
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule/Coordinate major overhauls and strategic maintenance programmes, including preparation of detailed work break down design, estimating, scope of work specs and work packaging for tasks.
- Availability of human and material resources to undertake required maintenance and operations activities
- Work scope review and development for internal and external maintenance work along with scheduling of transport logistics and contractors for maintenance works
- Quote requests and PR to vendors in accordance with work scope
- Develop and maintain a labour resourcing schedule for all plant outages and routine maintenance activities.
- Critical path determination with the ability to adjust schedules to minimize timeframes and resources
- Adaptable to emergent work to update live schedule and work status to include new projected milestone dates confirmed and monitored.
- Plan work, including preparation of detailed work break down design, estimating, scope of work specs and work packaging for tasks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Trade certificate or relevant qualifications in power generation or similar industry
- C Class WA driver’s licence
- Skilled in the use of:
- Computerized maintenance systems such as SAP
- Scheduling and project management software such as MS Project or Primavera along with the MS Office suite
- Work management planning and / or scheduling contracting techniques
- Referencing relevant safety and environmental legislations, standards, policies and procedures.
