Our Bunbury Client a Division of Timber Insight requires the services of an experienced Trades Assistant to support the field team assisting with the delivery of inspection, maintenance, repair and minor construction works on bridges, boardwalks, jetties, piers, stairs and other civil structures. 

Ideally, you will be experienced in bridge or civil construction/maintenance. From time to time the casual role will require availability to work away from home throughout the South West region on a Monday to Friday basis only – weekends home.

Excellent hourly rate, overtime where necessary and all accommodation, travel included plus a daily living away from home allowance will be paid.

Team fit to a small tight knit crew is essential where you will require flexibility with a variety of tasks along with an eager willingness to learn and jump in to lend assistance, where required. 

You will need:

• TA experience in construction industry or relevant mechanical/maintenance work environment
• Demonstrated experience working with a number of hand tools
• Physical fitness to allow for working outdoors in varying weather elements along with a reasonable manual handling capacity
• Experience or an interest in working with timber / concrete for the maintenance and repairs of road and bridge networks

To be considered you must have:

• Current and valid drivers Licence (C Class or HR desirable)
• A Construction Industry White Card
• WAH and basic Rigging - not essential but highly desirable
• Availability to work away from home for week at a time, if required
