South West Personnel are proud to have partnered with a global leader specialising in the manufacture and maintenance of cable belt conveyor systems.  Due to ongoing demand and business growth our client has immediate starts for general labourers to join their Harvey factory manufacturing team.

If you are seeking a new career opportunity, have an industrial working background with a genuine ability, interest and aptitude in mechanical based tasks, this is the move you have been waiting for!  Work is undertaken within a clean, dust and noise free factory environment.  You will be well supported through induction and offered strong training, work instructions, required PPE to join a hard-working, committed, friendly and respectful team.

Duties will be varied to primarily assist with the quality manufacture of conveyor belt and associated line equipment to support critical overland conveyor operations within the mining industry. 

As a general Manufacturing Labourer some tasks may be repetitive but varied, you will be accountable for:

  • Efficient operation of the rubber extrusion machines to produce rubber belt,
  • Steel rod preparation including machine cutting, bending and spray-painting processes,
  • Belt press production, final production line QA checks and repair inspections,
  • Grit blasting, painting, polyurethane moulding and hand trimming of steel rims and tyres,
  • Final assembly of pulleys that support conveyor belt, and
  • General industrial labouring and housekeeping tasks, sweeping, high pressure hosing, cleaning.

Essential Attributes:

  • Strong work ethic, eye for detail and self-motivated to commit to working a rostered 38-hour work week
  • Demonstrated ability to work safely with an understanding of compliance to industrial WHS expectations
  • Ability to take direction and follow instructions from supervisors
  • Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and D&A screen prior to commencement
  • Trustworthy and capable of working both independently and as part of a team

Shift Availability Requirements:

  • Monday to Thursday: Day shift : 5.00am to 2.30pm
  • DIDO only, these roles are available to locals residing within a safe driving distance to the Harvey factory
