Isolation & Permitting Officer – Commissioning Project

South West Personnel (SWP) continue to partner with Synergy to lead Western Australians to their intelligent energy future by sourcing highly experienced & qualified Electrical and/or Instrumentation Commissioning Technicians to support energy storage commissioning activities.
 
Applicants with relevant electrical and commissioning experience and also holding a WA Electrical Licence are encouraged to apply.  Relevant trade qualifications to work within the Electrical/Instrumentation Industry are essential.

The Permitting Officer reports to the Permitting Lead and has accountability for the execution of the Isolation and Permit to Work procedures including review of the Boundary Isolation Procedure for all stages of commissioning to successful start-up.

To be shortlisted you will require:

  • Demonstrated experience in the development and review of isolation and permitting system documentation within future energy delivery standards along with Lock Out and Tag Out Procedures.
  • The ability to identify, plan and execute permitting and isolation verification activities through the implementation of switching programs.
  • Confidence and ability to professionally raise; hold; administer; transfer and cancel Isolation Permits in a safe and timely manner.
  • Competency and understanding through following safe work practices and operating procedures to guarantee a safe work site.
  • Experience in managing daily permit requirements for Site Contractors along with understanding and developing Boundary Isolation Procedures.
  • Preference is for applicants to have experience with multi-disciplined lead up, commissioning and completion activities of large capital projects involving HV & LV isolations.
